July 4th @"The Collins'"

We were so fortunate to be invited to Keith & Gina's for a wonderful celebration of our country's independence!! What an awesome group of people the Lord put together to celebrate this gift that we have been given as Americans...FREEDOM!! So many people take for granted this day July4th! To some it is a day to dress in red, white and blue, grill some food,an excuse to maybe drink too much adult beverages,or even just a three day weekend! But this day was given to us to be able to freely make our own choices because of others great sacrifice! What a parallel to our gift of freedom in Christ Jesus! Someone died that we may have freedom from our sin, and no condemnation! That someone was/is JESUS CHRIST!Sometimes people just don't understand what it took so that we may boast in Jesus Christ, worship God with our whole heart out in the open, to not be ashamed of the gospel or hide our Christianity! We take for granted these privileges!! I am Thankful to all of the men and women that have gone before me and the ones today that serve or have served me and their country in a selfless manner!I AM PROUD TO BE AN AMERICAN CHRISTIAN!!
I also need to also take a little time to remember my Father-In-Law and his sacrifice to our country for serving in the Pacific during WW2! How we do miss him here on earth, but his legacy of service to our country will live on in our freedom! That my children will enjoy freedom in part due to his service in the Navy! I take pride in having known him, loved him,and to have the last name Mayeaux! What a feeling it must have been in his heart when he actually saw our flag "OLD GLORY" being raised on D-Day from his ship! He tasted and saw freedom on that day more than any of us could have imagined! Thank you very personally& lovingly to RAYMOND JAMES MAYEAUX!
Pastor Keith & Gina very warmly opened there home to all of us! Gina made a beautiful and delicious flag cake, Keith grilled chicken, hamburgers, hot dogs, and smoked a wonderful brisket! Everyone else brought side dishes and desserts! We had so much food and it all was yummy!Gina served as our very own Lady Liberty and led the way for our parade throughout the neighborhood! With a boom box filled with patriotic melodies we marched ,rode bikes, pulled decorated wagons, played drums, rode scooters and Seth had the best float of all...Mr.Steve Joubert's neck!LOL
We had a blast meandering through the neighborhood showing our American Pride!
Here are a few pics of all of our festivities!!!
