What a GREAT time Rick and I had on our little romantic getaway! We started off Saturday with dropping off Copper in the morning at Aaron & Kelly's and then on to church. Then lunch at MickeyD's with the kids! We dropped the kids off at Tiger & Sallys around 3:30. While getting the kiddos settled in Ava started yelling at us "BYE BYE MOMMA &DADDY" "SEE YOU LATER". She then proceeded to walk to the door and opened it while saying "BYE BYE NOW"! I guess she was ready for her little escape as well! Our room was beautiful!! A nice kingsized featherbed with lots of feather pillows! I am so glad we were not allergic to downfeathers!LOL A really nice mini fridge/bar with some lovley $3 pringles and a $2.75 snickers(regular size, not even kingsize) A can of coke was $2.95! Needless to say we stayed away from that!I'll post some pisc so that yall' can see how nice it was! The one thing we found rather odd was the phone that was on the wall next to the toilet! I of course took a pic of that! LOL We had a beautiful view of downtown, the river and in typical new orleans fashion there just so happened to be a parade going by! NO JOKE! We walked to the French Quarter for dinner at the Acme Oyster House! It was wonderful we had 1 dozen raw oysters, 1 dozen chargrilled oysters and shared a small platter of fried shrimp and fried oysters! We were stuffed!!We really needed the walk back to the hotel!LOL We really must have enjoyed our night of uninterupted sleep because we didn't wake up until almost 10 o'clock! After checkout time we went back to the Quarter for some Cafe AuLait & Beingets at the famous Cafe Du Monde! What an awesome time we had! We walked around the Quarter and the French Market for a little while.. We found this precious lady that hand makes rag dolls. So I had to pick up a little something for the girls! Espically since Ava LOVES Raggedy Ann!Well everyone is now all back home and back to real life again! But I give thanks to the Lord for providing the time, money, childcare, dogcare and everything it took for us to be able to take the time for ourselves!
